Occupational Health for Business and the Workplace

Maintaining the health of all staff is obviously of paramount importance and this may be promoted in many ways including safety and wellbeing at work. Our experienced trainers are qualified sports therapists as well as in health and safety, adding a broader perspective to helping people in the workplace. We are able to provide the expertise and guidance to deliver in-house training for your staff to meet Government requirements set out in the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 as well as the requirement in the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (as amended) (MHOR) to carry out a risk assessment on manual handling tasks.

> Why our training is different

As you know, employers must avoid Manual Handling as far as reasonably practicable if there is a possibility of injury. If this cannot be done then they must reduce the risk of injury as far as reasonably practicable. Our courses are designed to show not just safe techniques, but also to increase understanding of the mechanisms of injury. As our trainers regularly treat clients with musculoskeletal disorders they have considerable knowledge and experience which we include in our programmes. They are also qualified tutors in sports therapy, helping deliver training in an interesting and stimulating style. With this greater understanding of basic human anatomy and function, we believe people are more likely to maintain a safe working environment and avoid injury.
