Dr Lucy Hammond
Lucy qualified 11 years ago in Sports Rehabilitation at the University of Salford, and since then has been practising and lecturing in sports injury and sports massage. She has a Level 4 sports massage qualification and has provided massage to GB swimmers and gymnasts. She supports an Irish elite female road cycling team at their UK races and annually provides massage support at the London Marathon.
Lucy gained her PhD in sports medicine in 2013 from the University of Nottingham and has presented her research at international conferences, including the 2014 International Olympic Committee conference. She has several journal publications. Lucy currently works at the University of Bedfordshire as a Senior Lecturer. Lucy has recently been made a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
