Successful graduates will have a thorough understanding of the bodily systems described under Course Syllabus below and particular reference is made to the effects of physical activity on the function of each system. More advanced anatomy study is included within our Diploma course.Full support is given via electronic mail from our panel of tutors.

This course is studied by distance learning and is co requisite with either the Certificate or Diploma course in Sports Massage. What are the entry requirements?
You must be 18 years old and interested in this subject.
Course Text
This comprehensive guide covers learning styles and describes each bodily system in a clear and succinct fashion. Each chapter is supported by key learning points and questions for the reader to assess their understanding by. The book also includes a DVD.

Assignments & Examinations
Theory Examinations
Once you have completed all of your study you may apply to sit the theory examination on any of the dates offered in January, May, or September each year. This must be done at the same time as your examinations for either the Sports Massage Certificate or Diploma Awards. The written examination comprises short answer questions and the pass mark is 65%.
Certificate
Upon passing the written theory examination you will be awarded the Certificate in Anatomy & Physiology by Sports Therapy UK.
Accreditation for Prior Learning
If you already hold an Anatomy & Physiology qualification that is at least a recognised Level 3 award and mapped against the Qualifications and Credits Framework (QCF), you will be exempt from taking this course. If however, you progress to our Level 4 Diploma, additional areas of advanced anatomy will be studied and therefore you will still receive the core textbook and Level 4 guidance notes for the specific learning required.
